Dolphins!

A couple months ago we headed down to the beach and saw this pod of dolphins swimming really close to the shore.





It was really fun to sit and watch how close they came to shore. (This is one reason why I don't swim in the ocean ...)

We also had a fun day just hanging out at the beach.

And yes, that's how I dress when I go to the beach in February ... it's cold!

It's Cold Outside

We enjoyed a couple days of beautiful weather. But now it's cold again. It doesn't make us very happy.

L.A. Zoo

While Caitlin was visiting we decided to visit the L.A. Zoo. It's a small zoo but Gavin absolutely loved it!

He seemed to like the fake elephants more than the real ones.


He was fascinated by all of the animals and loved just staring at them.

This hippo was just peaking up through the grass to look at us. You can see his nose and the back of him.

Someone has a little bit of an attitude here ...

Gavin found this mural on the ground and thought it would be the perfect place for him to sit down.

It was a very fun day!

Finger Puppets

My friend Gail gave Gavin these great finger puppets for Christmas. He found them awhile ago and he absolutely loves them. He loves for us to put them on our fingers and he especially loves when we put them on him.


Hours of entertainment all at his fingertips!

Good Eater part 2

I forgot to add this video to my post yesterday.

Good Eater

This boy likes to eat. Can you tell? He goes through phases of what he will and will not eat. But most of the time he will eat just about anything.

He has become a lot more independent and wanting to feed himself. If I have a spoon or fork then he definitely has to have one too. He is getting better at it, but still make a huge mess.

Food makes him happy. (He takes after me!)
