I've been busy ...

We've had a lot going on lately and I am way behind on my blogging, but I thought I would post pictures of the fun projects that I have been working on lately.

For Kaylee's birthday, this cute little bag, personalized with a "K."

Perfect for putting all of her nail polish in.

While in Utah, my mother in law helped me make this cute crib sheet. I wanted to try it on their crib, so you can't see it very well, but you get the general idea.

Thanks to a great tutorial from my friend Dana, these cute little pants for my nephew Seth, who just learned to crawl. Perfect timing for the knee pads!

And this nursing cover, for me!

Park City ... walking down memory lane

While in Utah we took a little trip with the Jarvis family to Park City. It's such a fun city and there is always a lot of great things to do. This trip we spent all of our time on Main Street.
We wanted to get a picture outside the restaurant, Bistro 412, that we ate at the night that Andrew proposed to me! And here we are 4 years later ... pregnant!! (How precious!)
This is another special place to us. We ate at this restaurant, Main Street Pizza and Noodle, on one of our first dates together. (I think it was our 2nd or 3rd date actually). We went here with a group of my PG Pool buddies because we had been given gift certificates at the pool. They were about to expire so we had to use them all that night. We had a lot of money to spend, so we all ordered a ton of food! I think we all ate a lot there, plus took home one or two meals each. It was awesome! (After dinner we went back to Doug and Rochelle's and played Rummikub and then stayed up and talked until 5:30 in the morning! Loved it!)

And we finished off the trip with a smores caramel apple. I love caramel apples!
What a fun trip to Park City.

A Roast

One of my favorite things to do is to roast marshmallows, or hot dogs, or anything else! There is something about roasting it over a fire that makes it that much better. My sister Jonyce has the coolest little fire pit in her backyard so while we were there, I got the whole family together for a roast.It started raining a little that night, but we all stuck it out for the fun.
I love smores! Absolutely love them! Probably one of my top 5 favorite things.
Kadin is loving that smore! I tried to get a picture of Kaylee holding my smore but she kindly reminded me that she can't eat wheat (celiac disease) and so she didn't want to hold it ... oops, sorry Kaylee girl!
Here Kevin is showing us his technique of getting out of the way of the smoke. That's the only downside of fires, the nasty smoke.

Baby Shower #2

While we were still in Utah, the Jarvis family hosted a couples baby shower for us. It was fun to get to see all of the family from that side as well as friends that live up in the Salt Lake area. I was so excited because my friend Jessica happened to be in town at the same time so she was able to come up with her mom and Brady to the shower. Jessica and I met in Pasadena, but then she moved away, but we both have family in Utah so that seems to be our way now of seeing each other. She was also pregnant, I think about 4 weeks behind me. It was so fun to have someone to talk to all of the time about pregnancy and getting ready for babies.
Some of our other friends from Pasadena, the Mathesons, had moved to Salt Lake so it was fun to see them as well.

Andrew was very excited about this U stuff from Gail and Karin. We also got a lot of great other things from everyone else.
Grandma and Grandpa Wanlass were able to make it.

The food was delicious, as always. Hillary made some great cupcakes and cake pops. Katherine made a delicious panna cotta, Caitlin made wonderful brownies, and Annette made some delicious soups, salads and rolls.



Another great baby shower. We got even more great things that made us even more excited to welcome our little baby.

Baby Shower #1

In August we took a trip out to Utah. While we were there my family threw me a baby shower! I was excited that they would do that because it was a chance to see all my family and friends out there and to celebrate!

The shower was given by my sister Jonyce, sister-in-law Heather, and my mom. They did such a great job and it was so much fun.

I had a lot of friends and family show up, which was great.


My cute niece Kaylee made me this card and necklace to wear at the shower. We all originally thought that the whole thing was the necklace, so I wore it ... until we realized that the necklace was just the pink string and the card was not supposed to be worn. Oh well, I loved it both ways. This blanket was made by my Aunt Glenda. It is so beautiful.

I was so happy that my friend Rochelle came. She was pregnant with twins (I don't remember how far along) and she brought her 3 kids. She is pretty much super woman.

The shower was so much fun. It was great to see everyone and it was fun to get all these great gifts for our little guy. I am never very comfortable with events that put me at the center of attention, but this was worth it. It just made me so excited to have him come.
