This is how I kill spiders when Andrew's not home:

(The tissue is stuffed into the top so that the spider cannot crawl out. The vacuum is also placed in the bathroom in case the spider does somehow crawl through the vacuum and gets past the wad of tissue.)

Diane! I never knew we shared a fear of spiders! Last night Mark killed one for me, but left it on the floor because he was on the phone at the time. I didn't go back to the hall where it was until he was finished, because I knew it could still crawl and get me until it was flushed. :)
It's fun to see your blog on my wanderings through the pasadena ward blog trail :)

That's funny that is how my mom does it:). I think her over dramatic reaction to spiders has helped me not be bothered by them:). Mice are what bother me the most. YUK!

Yep, that clearly has the underside of a shoe beat.

My method is to hit them repeatedly with my shoe while yelling really loudly, but then I can't bring myself to actually lean down and pick them up with toilet paper, so I just leave them there until Matt gets home. We literally still have a smooshed spider on our wall from maybe 3 months ago that Matt has never gotten to and I can't get myself to touch. Its awesome. Nice wall decor over here at the Williams'. Good thing we're moving!
