Teething pains and date night

Last week was another great week. It seemed like we had something going on every night again though. I had visiting teaching 2 of the nights and Andrew went home teaching 1 night. We also spent a few nights watching the Jazz games on TV. Andrew is very excited about how well the Jazz are doing in the playoffs. I can't decide whether I want them to win or lose. If they lose then Andrew is not happy, but then I don't have to watch any more games. If they win then Andrew is happy but that means I have to keep watching games. I have been very unselfish though and have cancelled some of my tv show recordings on the DVR so Andrew can watch his games. I'm such a nice wife.

Gavin has been teething again. This time around it has been a lot more painful (for all of us). I don't know if it is because it is his top teeth or what, but it has been really bad. He has been very fussy and it has really messed up his naps. But his top 2 teeth are in and I am hoping that he is feeling better soon. He has definitely been sucking on his fingers more as part of the teething.

We spent a lot of the week just hanging out like we usually do. Gavin wouldn't look away from the T.V. to look at the camera. (He was of course watching something educational ... like American Idol.)
I watched one of my friend's little girls this week. Gavin was thrilled to have a friend to play with. I had to take this picture because I think it is so funny that she is 2 years old and Gavin only weighs about 3 lbs. less than her. But he loved just watching her run around the room.
Gavin is getting a lot better at entertaining himself. We can usually put him in front of a bunch of his toys and he will happily play for about 15 minutes or so. It's great!
Saturday I had a swim meet in Santa Monica. Originally I thought it would be a great idea for Andrew to meet me out there afterwards and we could hang out and go do fun things out on the Westside. But then I decided it would be too much of a hassle to have 2 cars out there and to have to deal with Gavin not being home and taking good naps and everything. So I just went out and Andrew stayed home. Later that day though we all met up at a park.
As I've said before, Gavin just loves sitting outside. I asked Andrew to take a picture of the 3 of us. I was impressed that he was able to do it so well on the first try.
We had Gavin in the swings for awhile (more on that in another post). I tried to get a good picture of his 2 top teeth and this is the best that I could do. He looks so cute with his little teeth on the top and bottom now.
Saturday night Brittany and Dave offered to watch Gavin for us so we could have a date night. We were excited to have a night out with just us. We dropped Gavin off at their place and headed to the mall. We had mongolian bbq at the food court and then went and saw "Clash of the Titans" (not 3D). We both thought it was a good movie. It was really fun to go out on a date again and Andrew even opened my doors for me! It was the perfect ending to the week.

I feel the same way, but about the Lakers, but they always seem to win and Doug is always glued to every game.... it's a lose, lose situation:) lol

I was laughing about you having to cancel some of your TV shows so Andrew could watch the game. That is the story of my life! Matt gets so frustrated. Just last night I had to stop recording Dancing with the Stars so Matt could watch the Red Sox game. (I refused to stop recording 24...)

That picture of Gavin on the blanket at the park with that little smile is SO CUTE.

That was nice of Brittany and Dave to babysit! What good friends. I'm glad you got a night out.
