Our Christmas started a little early this year when we celebrated at home before we headed to Utah. The night before we left we opened our stockings. This year Andrew and I had given each other our presents early, so we only had small things to open.

Gavin's babysitter Suzanne had given him a gift that we let him open early.

It was a mega bloks boat. He absolutely loved it. He pushed it around all night and screamed when we took it away from him.

This was my new addition to our Christmas decorations this year. They were fun to make and I think they turned out pretty good.

The next morning we drove to Las Vegas. We spent a little time there shopping and then Andrew dropped Gavin and I off at the airport and picked up his dad. I was going to fly to Utah and Andrew and his dad went to the Utah Bowl game. It was nice to just have a short flight with Gavin rather than a long drive!
On Christmas Eve day we went with my family to lunch at Los Hermanos. It was delicious!! I haven't found a replacement out here yet.

We then went up to Salt Lake to spend the rest of the evening with the Jarvis family. We went and walked around Temple Square. It was really beautiful (and very crowded)!!

My swim team group had given Gavin this cute hat and mittens set.

Christmas pajamas!!

We luckily got to sleep in on Christmas morning. We then went down to see what Santa Claus had brought us. Gavin got a lot of fun toys.

He wasn't quite sure about the orange.

Andrew was excited about his Utah pot holders.

Gavin loved the banana!!

We tried to get Gavin interested in opening presents. But he just wanted nothing to do with it. He was more interested in the dried fruit he carried around all morning.

The little cupcake shape sorter set did interest him though.

He had a lot of fun hanging out with Grandpa

and Aunt Caitlin.

We then went down to Orem to spend the rest of the day with my family. We had a delicious dinner and then went down to open more presents.

I thought this picture was funny where you can see how many different cameras we have going on at one time.

Gavin loved playing with his cousin Seth and Aunt Heather.

We opened stockings.
And we opened more presents.

My cute Grandma was there with us.

Everyone had a great time!
Gavin enjoyed playing with the wrapping paper. (Notice he is wearing different clothes ... I think there was a little too much excitement and he threw up on himself. Sad.)

It was a great Christmas. Everyone was so generous and we had a lot of fun.
The trip to Utah was definitely too short. We didn't have a lot of time and we weren't able to see a lot of friends and other family. It was sad but I guess that what happens. We were able to see a few people though and have some fun.
Our friends the Higginbothams were also visiting Utah so we had to catch up with them. We finally got to meet their little girl Brooke is about Gavin's age.

We were also able to go visit Andrew's grandparents.

Gavin enjoyed all the attention from everyone. Here he is with Uncle Greg.

It really is a lot of fun to see Gavin interacting and having fun with all of his cousins.

Merry Christmas 2010!!

Wow, what a fun and exciting christmas!! Glad you guys had a good time
Gavin scored big time with the gifts. Lucky guy.
It just warms my heart to see your family sitting in section 12 at Los Hermanos. Ah, the memories came flooding back!
It was also fun seeing Gavin's stocking that matches Brady's. Hopefully you get some more "little ones" on that Jarvis side. That chair of only two was looking pretty sparse. At least there are a few more on the Johnson side.
I'm glad it worked out that we could visit, even for just an hour. We really miss you guys, and we're SO EXCITED to see you in March!
