Happy Easter!

We had a great Easter this year.

It all started on Saturday morning when we went to the Sierra Madre Easter Egg Hunt. It was sponsored by the fire department so of course the Easter Bunny arrived in style ... in the fire truck.

Gavin was more excited about the actual fire truck and they were awesome and let him sit inside the truck!! He was in heaven.

These two were ready to fill up those baskets with lots of goodies!

Gavin made sure to keep Betsy from stealing his basket. She can be so greedy sometimes!

They had everyone line up around the perimeter of the park while they threw all the candy out on the grass. Then when they blew the horn everyone could run out and grab as much as they could get. I didn't really think Gavin would understand the concept but he actually did really well and loved putting things inside his basket.

Betsy was also able to get something for herself!

We then got our picture taken with the Easter Bunny! I think Gavin brought his stick just in case the bunny tried to attack.

We found this great hat for Gavin and he actually kept it on his head for awhile. I'm sure he would make a great fireman one day!

The next morning when Gavin woke up we had him come out to see what the Easter Bunny had given him! (Thanks to Grandma and Grandpa he had a lot of really great things!!)

He was a little hesistant to come out but once he saw the basket he was excited and ready to go check it out.

He immediately grabbed this green ball out of the basket and ran for the door to go outside. We had to convince him that there were other fun things in the basket as well.

He also really liked the bubble gun!

Not excited about wearing the bunny ears.

We then sat down to a delicious Easter breakfast of baked french toast with raspberry sauce. YUM!

Since we don't have a yard, the Easter bunny had to hide all the eggs in the courtyard of our apartment complex. Luckily nobody else took them!

Notice that Gavin had to take his basketball out with him.

Gavin really got in to the whole finding the egg thing. He loved running around and trying to find them. He was very excited when he would find one!

While we were all dressed up in our Easter clothes we took a few fun pictures. This is when Gavin started posing for the camera.

The Eckersley's were coming over for Easter Dinner. I set up the table with a mini easter basket for everyone.

We had an absolutely delicious meal!!

Happy Easter everyone!
