I'm thinking Arby's

Last Sunday afternoon we were driving down to Orem from Salt Lake to celebrate Easter with my family. We were in my mom's car, and when we were about half way there the gas light went on. We checked and it said that we had 67 miles to go before empty. We thought we would be perfectly okay to finish the drive to Orem.

4 miles down the road, the warning beep went off and it now said "low" on the range. Almost immediately we could feel the car power down and we realized it was completely out of gas. Andrew pulled over to the side of the freeway and we turned on our hazard lights.

Luckily my parents were home and said that they would come and save us. So now all we had to do was sit in the car, on the side of the road, and wait.

While we were patiently waiting, I looked up at the billboard and realized that we were right next to an Arby's billboard. I laughed and told Andrew that this would be perfect for one of their commercials ... because all I could think about right then was ... well, "I'm thinking Arby's." (I realize now that it was a lot more funny while we were sitting there stranded.)

Lately I'm just happy for any time that I get to spend with Andrew, even if it is on the side of a road.
Luckily my parents came and brought us some gas so we could finish our trip down to Orem.

The next time I run out of gas, well hopefully there won't be a next time, but if there is a next time, I think I will have an instant craving for some Arby's.

Mmmm, this posting really did make me think Arby's! I could really go for a roast beef sandwich, curly fries and a jamocha shake...
