Final Vacation Day

Monday was the last day of our trip to Utah. We were flying back that morning but because we didn't know Andrew's schedule until the last minute, we ended up on different flights, going to different airports. I tried to change flights, but decided it wasn't worth the money to change. When we got to my gate at the airport I found out they had overbooked my flight and were looking for volunteers to change flights. I asked if I could be changed specifically to Andrew's flight. They said they could, but that they only open seats they had were in first class, so they wouldn't be able to give me the compensation for changing flights. I didn't care, I just wanted to be on the same flight. So we switched flights. While waiting for our new flight, I was trying to decide if I wanted to stay in first class, or see if someone wanted to change with me so I could sit next to Andrew. But they ended up not having any open seats in first class, and to make a long story short, they moved me back to coach, and I had to go up and convince the guy that I now needed to get the compensation. He said that he appreciated me being nice to him and so he gave me a $200 voucher for a future flight (and he told me that the previous guy should not have denied me it simply because of the first class situation). So not only did we end up on the same flight, we now have that voucher! The only bad thing was that they didn't reroute my luggage and so it ended up in Burbank instead of LAX. Oh well!

We both had the entire day off, so we decided it was the perfect day to go to Disneyland. I learned that you can still have a lot of fun at D-land even if you're pregnant!

We weren't in a big hurry to get to all of the rides, so we were able to stop and enjoy the scenery. And because I knew I wouldn't be able to go on any rides, I could wear a skirt, which is one of the only comfortable things I have to wear right now.

They are doing another major renovation at California Adventure. It looks like it will be a pretty cool water show. I can't wait!

We tried this delicious ice cream we had heard about. It was pretty good. Andrew loved it!
We love the new Toy Story ride. It's a really fun ride, even though the line is usually really long!

Can you guess who was red and who was blue? At least I had a better accuracy percentage!

We got stuck in the parade traffic, but took this picture of Lightning McQueen for our nephew, JJ.
We ate a delicious corn dog. (and yes, I eat corn dogs when I'm pregnant.)

They had some fun spring decorations up. I'm always amazed at how often they change the decorations around the park. It seems like a lot of work.

We finally went on the new Finding Nemo ride. The wait wasn't too long, and we didn't have any other rides to go on. It was pretty cool, even though it did make me a little claustrophobic.

We also went on the newly remodeled "It's a Small World" ride. You can see the fancy new boats here.

I know a lot of people don't like this ride, but I love it. They made some really fun changes. There are a lot of new characters. They added a bunch of Disney characters from the movies. It was fun to try and spot them.

There was Alice in Wonderland and the White Rabbit.

Aladdin and Jasmine.

Abu popped in and out.

Ariel.
And Nemo and Dory. Good job Disney!

Andrew had to get his pickle. He loves them!
And we always end the night with a black and white Mickey cookie.
It was a really fun trip to Disneyland.

I'll have to show JJ the picture you took for him! How awesome! I'm so jealous that you're so close to Disneyland! I wish I could go too!

I love your cute little belly! I CRAVED corn-dogs with both of my pregnancies. I'm glad to see you indulging a bit!
Thanks for keeping a straight face with Charley today! What a ham - should I be worried? :)

That's awesome about your flights!

What is wrong with having a corndog while you're pregnant? Do they have nitrates or some such nonsense?

I loved all the food pictures. I think food is the best part of going anywhere!

As you know, we've never been into Disneyland, but now I'm thinking we should take a trip this summer and go with you guys, for Brady's sake. Wouldn't that be so fun? Since you're the resident experts, you could take us to all the cool spots. Oh, and Brady was really excited to see Lightning McQueen and the Mickey Mouse cookie. Now that he knows a few of the characters, he could appreciate the experience.

I have been going to Disneyland since it opened. I still love going to Disneyland. I hope we can go with you again this summer. Mizzle hopes so too!
