Avery's Adventures: Month 4

Our little girl grew a lot this month! She definitely likes to be moving and doesn't want to sit still for long. This led to a little bit of a difficult photo shoot this month. We also had problems with someone trying to steal her sign!

I guess he just wanted to get in on the photo shoot fun!

Gavin definitely is becoming more interested in Avery. He loves to point out her eyes, head, mouth, hands and feet. His favorite game is to stick his face up really close to her and say "Hi B!" He waits until her hand swipes him and then he says "HEY! B pushed me!" He then wants us to say "naughty B, don't push Gavin." He thinks this is so funny and will play it forever! She is also a lot more interested in Gavin. She loves to watch him and will always follow him around the room with her eyes if he is in there. 

As you might have noticed from the pictures, she loves to suck on her hands. She constantly has her fingers in her mouth. If she doesn't have hers, she will try to borrow yours! 

Avery was blessed this month. It was a very special day.

(I am super behind on blog posts and want to be able to post about all the fun things she has done this month, so I am not going to include them in this one, yet.)

Other things about month 4:

• Avery had her first cold this month. It lasted just over 2 weeks. She handled it really well and didn't really get that fussy. She had a runny nose and would get pretty stuffed up. She still ate well and slept well, so it wasn't too miserable for all of us!
• Her sleeping has stayed the same. She still wakes up twice a night to eat and then goes right back to sleep. 
• She loves to be held but is starting to be more content when we put her in the swing, play mat or other chair. She can also now sit in her bumbo chair and she seems to enjoy that.
• Eating is going well. She still likes to keep me on my toes and changes things up. She went through a few days where once again she refused to eat on one side. But after a few days she went back to eating. She is very quick, which is nice. 
• She still hates being in her car seat. She screams the entire time. Not fun.
• She still loves her feet and now likes to suck on them all of the time too! She will suck on them to the point where they get all pruney!
• She went to Las Vegas!
• She went swimming for the first time and loved it! She loves the water!
• I went back to work this month. She has done really well with adjusting to the schedule. There are times when practice will run late or I will get stuck at a swim meet, and she is very patient and doesn't fuss too much or seem too hungry. It has been really great!
• She is definitely a very happy baby. She hardly ever cries. If she is fussy we know it's because she is really tired or really hungry. Otherwise she is just happy.
• She loves to smile. If you smile at or talk to her she just gets this super big smile on her face!
• She has definitely found her voice and likes to yell. She isn't mad, just happy.
• Her eyes are still blue. I think they will change though.
