Learning to sew

My mother-in-law is the most talented seamstress that I know. She is absolutely amazing. While we were visiting last week she made me the cutest skirt. And she did it all in one day! The picture does not even do it justice and it is so much cuter on than it is just on the hanger, but I just really don't feel like taking a picture of myself right now and I couldn't talk Andrew into modeling for me. So this will have to do for now. It even has pockets!

I also decided on this trip that I want to learn how to sew. She was very patient with me and helped me find an easy starter project. I used the leftover material from my skirt and another cute material that she had to make these bags. They turned out pretty good. (with a lot of help from her!) So if you any of you need a new bag just let me know. I am excited to keep trying new things. Thanks Annette!

Um...when do I NOT need a new bag? You could start a little cottage industry making bags for your girlfriends. Etsy.com here you come! I would absolutely pay for fabric, shipping... These are adorable, Di.
