Pie!

While we were in Utah I asked my mom to teach me how to make her delicious strawberry pie. The most important thing about making pie is to have a good crust. So I first had to learn how to make a good pie crust. It's more difficult than I thought, but not too bad.

I think for my first pie crust it turned out pretty good.

Then here it is with the strawberry filling. Doesn't it look pretty?
And here is the final result!
It didn't turn out as good as my mom's pie, but I still think it was pretty good! Thanks mom!

Yum! I'm impressed that you made your own pie crust. I still haven't attempted that one. I'm waiting until Thanksgiving sales to stock up on the pre-made frozen shells. Way to go on the strawberry pie!

I like pie and I like making pies though I have never made a strawberry one. I am willing to bet that this would be an acceptable substitute for cookies for Jarv if you were burnt out on baking cookies.

I am hoping that these newfound skills will be put to good use when next I see Diane!
