If you didn't see the mens 4x100 freestyle relay last night you really missed out! That relay reminded me why I love watching the Olympics. It was so incredible to see Jason catch Bernard and touch him out at the end. He had the most incredible swim which ended up being the fastest relay split ever swum in history! (Oh and did I mention that Jason Lezak represents Rose Bowl Aquatics, the very team that I coach for? How cool is that? If you missed my earlier post about him you can read it here.) The favored team going into the relay, the French team had been talking trash the past couple days. They said they were going to "smash" the Americans in the relay, but in true American fashion, we did our talking in the water! I can't find a good video of the relay, but I love the picture above. It captures the exact moment when Jason realizes that he has won, Phelps realizes that his Olympic gold quest will continue, Garret's sheer excitement, and French's Bernard utter dissapointment. What an exciting moment! I can't wait for the rest of the Olympics. Go USA and go Jason!Monday, August 11, 2008

It's even great to watch after you all ready know what will happen. And against the french! HAHA!
That was such a cool race! I was watching it at home cheering along with them, and laughing at Phelp's awesome reaction to it!
