6 Weeks!

When I went in for my 6 week postpartum doctor appointment I decided to bring the kids with me so that I could get a picture with Dr. Matsuda. I thought it would be great to have a picture with him since he delivered both of them. (When Gavin came in from the waiting room he started making monster noises and growling at Dr. M. It was pretty funny. Avery kept looking at me and wouldn't look down for the picture.)

I had two very different but great experiences with both of the deliveries. I am so grateful that I had such a great doctor that was so supportive through everything. At every appointment he would listen to all of my crazy questions and concerns and would always reassure me. He made me feel important even though he had many other patients. Especially with Avery, he was so encouraging during the delivery, and then he made me feel like a rock star after it was over and I had done it! I hope that he can deliver all of my babies!

I have quickly realized that it is going to be a lot more difficult to get back to my pre-pregnancy body the second time around. After I had Gavin I really didn't do anything. I literally did not exercise until more than one year after he was born. I remember at my 6 week appointment with Gavin that I was already back to my pre-pregnancy weight. This time around, I am far from it. It is frustrating. I just hope that I can get back there, eventually! It's just going to take a lot more work.

I am already stressing about getting back to my pre-pregnancy weight! I can relate, no fun. You'll have to start working out on vacation like Andrew and me. :)
