Grandma came to visit for the weekend!!
She spent a lot of time holding Avery.
We spent the day at Americana. We had never been there in the afternoon before when the trolley is running. Gavin was very excited to ride the "train."
We rode around a few different times. Gavin absolutely loved it!
We had a fun day at the Americana. We shopped and ate and ran around. When we got home that night we could tell Gavin wasn't feeling well. He woke up at about midnight and threw up. It was so sad. We weren't sure if he had a little bug or if it was because he had only eaten a milk shake, cookie and more ice cream that day. After a quick bath and change of clothes he went right back to sleep and was fine the rest of the night.
He woke up the next morning and seemed to be feeling great. He was happy and energetic. So we decided it must have just been all the junk he had eaten. We decided to take the train in to town and go to brunch. Unfortunately it was terrible weather that day and was raining and really cold! But we didn't let that stop us, we just bundled up extra warm.
Grandma and Avery on the train.
Gavin and Andrew on the train.
He doesn't look excited here but he was in absolute heaven! He gets so excited when he sees the train and he just loves riding on it too.
We went to brunch at La Grande Orange. It was delicious! Gavin enjoyed his pancakes. Annette and I both got the lemon ricotta hotcakes and then shared some macaroni and cheese. Everything was amazing and we had a great time. We rode the train back home and Gavin took a nap.
That night we went to dinner at Spaghetti Factory. Gavin wouldn't eat and started acting like he was the night before. We were worried that he was sick again but were hopeful he wouldn't throw up. Just when we got home and Gavin walked in the kitchen door, he threw up. Luckily it was the kitchen tile floor and not the carpet! We put him in the bath and put him to bed. He slept well through the night and the next day seemed to be feeling better. He wouldn't eat much but at least he didn't throw up!
We had a great time while Grandma was here and we can't wait until she can come back!!
