Baltimore - Inner Harbor
On Tuesday we decided to spend the day exploring the Inner Harbor in Baltimore. We parked in Little Italy and walked to breakfast.
We ate breakfast at this really yummy and cute place, Shirleys. These blueberry waffles were amazing!
We then walked over to the Baltimore Aquarium. I love Aquariums and this was a great one!
Andrew loves sharks!
Hillary and JJ had fun checking out the fish.
There were alligators.
and stingrays
and turtles
and seahorses
and jelly fish!
I loved this picture because it made JJ's shoes look huge.
We watched the dolphin show from the underground view. I actually thought it was very cool to see it from the water. You could see the dolphins with the trainers, then swim down to the bottom and race to the top and jump out and then splash back in. I definitely recommend watching it from this view. (and we didn't even have to pay for the show tickets!)
We then hung around the harbor area

and we listened to the singing fudge people.
On our way back to the car we stopped at the Star Spangled Banner Flag House. This is where the American Flag was sewn that inspired the writing of the National Anthem. Apparently they have all the tour guides there dressed up in period clothing, but of course we got there just as they were closing so we were only able to walk around quickly (for free!). I would definitely go back though.

They had this very cool map of the United States outside of the building. Each state submitted a native rock from their state and they shaped it into this map. Very cool concept!

Another fun day in Baltimore!

I love the Baltimore Inner Harbor. It is underappreciated by the average Washington DC visitor.
oh MAN. Awesome trip! That sounds so dreamy and picturesque (and way cooler than the scorching temps going on out here).
