-We were travelling all day Saturday.
-We realized that he is over the weight limit for the bassinet in his pack-n-play.
-Andrew was out of town .
-He hit his head really hard and I wanted to observe him. (yes, him hitting his head was my fault.)
-He was super cranky.
-I am too tired to deal with him waking up frequently.
- He got a really nasty cold and was very congested.
All of these led to a hiatus on sleep training as I continued to hold him during his naps and put him in our bed at night.
Despite this, we did have a few successes:
- One night he slept in his own bed for the first 5 hours of the night (before we realized the weight limit issue)
- He took one nap for 20 minutes on his own.
-Last night he slept for 7 1/2 hours straight!
-He seems to be developing a bed time at night (between 9 and 10) where he will fall asleep and stay asleep.
Here's to a better week, with less excuses!

All those excuses make perfect sense to me, and those successes sound great! Good luck with continuing.
The successes sound great. It's hard work, but it sounds like you're getting closer. You're almost there! Have you set up his crib yet? Hang in there. Don't feel too bad about his hurt head. It happens. Brady fell off the bed three times in a matter of about 8 months. He turned out just fine, so far anyway.
I miss my chunky little nephew! I hope the sleeping continues to get better!
Yay! Good job Diane!
