Bad day yesterday. I was running a lot of errands yesterday and so we were in and out of the car seat. He would sleep a little bit in the car but would then wake up so he never really got a good nap. It took him a long time to fall asleep at night and there was a lot of crying. Luckily Andrew came home to help.

Hang in there! Think long term happiness over short term results. :)This is harder to remember at 3 a.m. Example, I'd much rather put my baby next to me in the bed than let him wake up his brother in the same room, so when he stirs at 3 a.m. I throw all rules out the window and do whatever will help me sleep until 6. Ah, it's exhausting isn't it????
Diane, you can do it! I'm impressed you started before you were home from vacation. White noise puts Brooke right to sleep, like if I'm blow drying my hair, and the swing is great too, but all these things are just creating dependence (sleep props) so hopefully what you're doing by putting him down works sooner than later. Call me if you ever want to complain. I promise I'll just listen and not advise! I love you.
