Happy New Year!! Because New Years Day was on Sunday this year the Rose Parade was moved to Monday. So Sunday was a pretty relaxing day. We went to Church and then hung out with the Jarvises until it was time for them to leave. We had a great time with them here and were sad when they left!
The morning of The Rose Parade we had a super lazy morning and slept in! We then decided we should probably take advantage of living here and go see the Rose Parade. Luckily our friend's Dave and Brittany live a couple blocks from Colorado Blvd. (in our old apartment!) They saved us a spot near the parade and we headed down there. We actually only ended up staying for about 10 minutes because it was so hot!! Last year when we went to the parade we were freezing. This year it was 85 degrees!! But we were able to see some floats and a marching band.
We are excited about 2012!! I have to admit that I am not sad to see 2011 be over. It was a difficult year. It will always be a great year because we found out we were having our baby girl. But the rest of the stuff was not the best. 2012 will be a great year for us!!
