We're Back!

We got our computer back yesterday! You would be surprised how long a week can be with no computer!! But they were able to back everything up and fix the problem so we are back in service. I'm so happy!

Baby update: It's time to get ready!! When I first went in to the doctor he calculated my due date. After a round of ultrasounds he then moved the due date back one week. He has used that date as a basis for every appointment since then. When I went in to my appointment this last week he mentioned the earlier date as my due date. I questioned him on it but he said that he is still considering that the official due date but has noted that it might be later. I love my doctor, but I am really annoyed!! He can't just suddenly take one whole week away from me!! I have an ultrasound in a week and a half and so I am hoping that we will then have a more definitive date after that. But for now I don't know what to say when people ask me when I am due.

Although the specifics of the date might not matter ... I feel like this baby is coming early. Very early. Last night I was not feeling well at all. We put Gavin to bed and I started having contractions. I was sure that they were braxton hicks contractions, which I have had off and on this whole pregnancy. But these ones were different. They were more frequent and a little more painful. Although still nothing like real contractions. I tried to sleep but was too uncomfortable. I sat up. I stood. I laid on my left side. Nothing helped. At about 2:30 in the morning I noticed that they were more frequent. They were about 7 minutes apart. But they still weren't strong enough to be real. I was reading online and it said if you were less than 37 weeks and had more than 4 in an hour then you should call your doctor. But I just didn't know if I should or not. I decided to drink a glass of water then lay down. If they continued that frequently for another 30 minutes or so then I would call. Thankfully I actually fell asleep for 2 hours!! But when I woke up I was still having them. Just not as frequently. I was also feeling really light headed and nauseous the whole night. I then spent the next couple of hours falling asleep for about 15 minutes, waking up with contractions, throwing up, drinking water, and then falling back asleep. I finally got up and decided I should probably call my doctor, just to make sure that everything was okay. My doctor was the on-call doc so I was able to speak to him. He said that they do sound like braxton hicks and that I should just take it easy, rest and lie down. He said if they become 5 minutes apart for more than an hour that I should call him back and he will have me go in. I am feeling a little better right now. I am still having the contractions, but they are not as regular or as strong. So hopefully they will stop completely and I can go back to normal life!! This is one of those times that I am so grateful to have Andrew home all day. I don't know what I would do if I had to take care of Gavin right now.

Here is a pic that I took today. 34 weeks (or is it 35?)

So I guess we need to really get ready for this baby! We don't need to do a lot, just some small things. I need to get some clothes for her, diapers, make some crib sheets (or buy them), wash the clothes, get the house cleaned up and pack our hospital bags. Anything else?? I was so panicked last night realizing that we are not ready at all!! But as we learned with Gavin ... whether we are ready or not, the baby will come!!
