Well I made it to my due date! I really didn't think I would make it this far. But I did!!
It's been a pretty uneventful week. Friday night I started having contractions. They were 5 minutes apart, but they weren't very painful. After about 30 minutes they stopped though. Then things were just continuing on as they had been.
Saturday was the big JO swim meet. I had one swimmer qualify so I decided to go down in the morning and see him swim in prelims. Andrew and Gavin came with me in case there were any problems! He did really good, dropped a lot of time and qualified to come back for finals that evening. It was so surprising!! We went to IHOP for breakfast and then came home to put Gavin down for a nap. Andrew and I then went back to the swim meet. He swam well again and I was really glad that I was able to be there to see him compete.
Sunday was the Super Bowl! Dave, Brittany and Betsy came over for a little party. We had yummy food and watched the game and commercials. We were all cheering for the Patriots, so we were disappointed when they didn't win. Oh well.
I went to work on Wednesday. That will be my last day. Everyone just kept saying "You are still here??" Wednesday night I started having contractions again. But they weren't painful and they weren't really that regular. So another false alarm!! I was starting to just get really frustrated. I am tired of all these signs that things are happening and then nothing actually happens. It worries me that I won't know when to actually go in to the hospital. I don't want to go and have them just send me home, but I also don't want to wait too long!! So I am just tired of the waiting game. It's so stressful!!
I had my doctor appointment this morning. My doctor told me that all his patients that are due in the next couple weeks have all delivered, except for me, so he was wondering when I was going to have her. I told him that I was wondering the same thing!! So he said that I am definitely there and ready to go! I am now at a 4 and completely ready. He said that I just need to get over that hump from fake contractions to the real thing! He said it could be tonight, tomorrow, or any time!!
So now we are back to the waiting game!!
I still can't believe I made it to 40 weeks!!

She is going to be here SO soon! I can't wait to see photos!!!!
You must have started the real contractions just after posting this. Congratulations.
Congrats on making it to 40 weeks and fully "baking" your child. :) And congrats on Avery while I'm at it!
I must say, in some ways I'm glad I ended up being induced, because I had been worried about that whole contraction thing. How to know when they are real, when to go in, etc. I can't wait to hear the whole birth story! Are you going to post it at some point?
