Today was Gavin's first day of swimming lessons and he loved it! It is the parent/tot class so I have to (get to?) go in with him. They have it in the really warm pool, which is nice. I was anxious to see how he would react, but when I walked into the water with him he had no reaction at all. Just the same serious face he always has. He liked splashing in the water and playing with the rubber ducks. We did tummy floats and back floats. When I put him on his tummy he does his penguin pose that he does when we put him on his tummy on the ground. (arches his back and puts his legs ands arms back behind him.) He wasn't sure about the back floats, but mostly I think it was because he didn't like the sun in his eyes. I didn't put him under water today, but he did get his head and face wet just from splashing and everything. I was so happy that he had fun and seemed to really like it. He didn't like the getting out and being cold part of the lessons, but seriously who does?

He is striking with his serious outlook and handsome outfit. Way to go mom.
Way to start him early on the swimming, Coach Jarvis! Sometimes I forget about how your profession could affect your kid - you can start now and raise the next Michael Phelps!!
I think that someone should take a picture of Andrew, Gavin and my dad together because I see so much resemblance between them. This picture just looked so much like both of them! It's crazy! I'm glad he liked swimming so much...maybe he'll swim before he crawls! (Let's hope not, haha)
How exciting to take your own baby into the pool with you! Keep posting little lessons. I'm sure I won't have much access to a swimming pool now, but I'm going to try whatever you're doing with Gavin on Brooke as soon as I get the chance. What a cute little swim outfit!
