I have nothing against purple (Go Huskies!), but I hope in this regard he takes after his father. He all ready has his rugged good looks so chances are good he inherited the "red" gene as well since the "red" and "handsome" gene alleles are linked. The "red" gene is after all, dominant to the "blue" gene. Trust me, I'm getting a PhD in all this stuff.
As a physician, I'm a bit more interested in the phenotype than the genotype. I observe that Gavin appears a bit unsettled (startled?) dressed in red, as if that would not be his intention. On the other hand, he has a contented, pleased appearance in blue. I'm just saying. . .
I have no qualifications to comment on genetics. However, I will weigh in on the fact that Gavin is always interested in my Utah hats. If he's crying, letting him play with my hat does calm him down. Basically, the Ute symbol is a balm of gilead to Gavin.

Send him to Northwestern. (My parents were the same way, they met at NW!)
Either way, he is a handsome kid.

Phenotype > Genotype?
Thats why you're the doctor and I'm the geneticist!
The only phenotype that I can conclude from the second picture is that he looks hungry.
