Happy Birthday Diane!

I had a great birthday this year! It was extra awesome because Brittany and Betsy were staying with us!! I was able to sleep in pretty late in the morning and then I woke up to these delicious crepes that Brit was making!! YUM!

After breakfast we headed to the park with the kids. We were having one last park day before Brittany moved away. We had pizza and cupcakes and the kids had a great time!

I had to go to work in the afternoon. It was an okay day at work, nothing special.

When I got home we decided to all go out to dinner to Olive Garden. It was delicious and we had fun!

Andrew told the waiter that it was my birthday and he said "Happy birthday, but we don't do anything anymore. Sorry." Then about 2 minutes later he comes over with a little bowl of ice cream with a candle in it. He said he felt bad and wanted to do something, but that I couldn't tell anyone. It was very sweet. Gavin was excited to help me blow out the candles (and eat the ice cream!)

We came home from dinner and got ready for cake, ice cream and presents. Gavin and Andrew decorated my birthday cakes. We picked up these great "Cars" cake pans and Gavin wanted to use those. I couldn't have asked for a better cake!

I love this poster and was very excited to get it!

Apparently when Andrew took Gavin to pick out my present he felt very strongly about what he wanted to get. Andrew tried to talk him in to something else, but he was determined to get me what he wanted. I love this picture because you can see how absolutely proud he is of himself! I love the gift so much because I know that he picked it out!

It is a little net cover thing for food at a bbq or something, but to Gavin ... it is a hat!
